Constant Lag, Stuttering, and freezing

I have tried to play Battlefield 1 but the lag and the stuttering has made this game borderline unplayable. Every time I load the game it takes 20 minutes to get to the home menu. When I get to the home menu, its really slow and buggy and the music constantly cuts in and out. Its been giving me a headache and its genuinely frustrating. When I do get it to work it lasts for 5 minutes max. Note that this doesn't just happen during the multiplayer, it also happens in the campaign. I've tried turning off v-sync, disabling dx12 setting the framerate to 60 fps, etc. but nothing works. Can anyone help me?

Reboot your PC. I had this happen on my first boot, too. It actually stalled my PC completely. I think if you have a GPU on your CPU and it is not turned off (which I forgot to do) it won't use your video card at first because I have a 4080 and this ♥♥♥♥ stalled but my fans weren't even running, meaning the card was at nothing in terms of utilization. I had to hard reset my whole tower.

When I rebooted, the issue was gone and my game runs butter smooth, no fps or lap spikes at 4K in ultra.

The only thing you still gotta watch out for is BF1 turns on HDR in your windows settings so things can look muddy once you exit. Took me a minute to figure out.

All in all, still a great game just wish there wasn't so much META BS abound.

I tried that and it worked the first time, when I tried for more sessions, it came back again.

Hello I have same problem.. Game stutters. I have rtx 4060 ryzen 7 5700x3D and 16 gb ram. I tried everyting. Bf5 and Bf2042 runs well but this game runs very bad.. When I cap 200 fps limit in menu game is stuttering but if ı choose 144 fps limit game runs smooth
