How to invite/join friends via Steam?

Everytime I invite my friend or he invites me in a party there is only a message "You need to install the game, to join"
Wtf? shift + f1 only opens the origin friendlist and there is not option to join/invite someone.
Help please

Did you figure it out? I was able to get into the game lobby with a friend, but when they launched into a game I had a message pop up asking if I wanted to go with them, with what appeared to be the left arrow icon usually associated with the Enter button, and it wouldn't work

run EA app (there is no more origin app) outside of steam/game
sign in
make sure it is linked to steam
import steam friends
friend has to import you also

then you can invite to squads

This actually should work, but I had an issue with getting into a multiplayer game with my party, even after joining the party. They were able to start a game but it wouldnt bring me along. Is there some sort of button I need to press?

We did this, but we can't invite us into a squad. We see each other in the friendlist and if we invite to squad there is only a message like "Player123 has invites you to play. Install the game to accept" There is nothing we can accept... Very strange :/

Same, idk, this is ridiculous.
There is party system, you can invite your friend, but there is no way to accept it.
In the EA Launcher i have noticed a massage it the top that says "Some functional can be limited because the game is installed with a different app" (Steam in my an your case) Which makes me think that the problem exists because game is downloaded not through the EA launcher but Steam. Anyway that`s my only hint.
Thinking to refund the game, its getting to frustrating.
