No, you can't transfer games you purchased on Origin to Steam. You can add them as non-Steam games.

Was wondering the same thing too, hope they make it possible. This is one of the best games I've played (if you dont count the hackers of course lol)

lets just hope its release on steam will boost the playerbase even more , no need to buy it on steam if u also have it on origin since yeah it will open origin even if u used steam

It doesn't really matter because you need to connect to the Origin servers and still need to Use Origin Client (as the bullcrap Ubisoft-kind with Uplay). Steam does not have any type of online interaction in the Battlefield 1 client, btw you can take the CD key and activate it in Origin to not use Steam (at least you have that Liberty of have only one DRM-Client working instead of Two)

EA wont give us a free copy, this is there way to milk that cow. It's low tbh.

I was really hoping that the game when bought on steam would be played through steam and I could have my level reset, with all the dlc too! it would be a blast to try and get all the weapons again!

you need the CD key and you are good. If you bought the disc.

Just bought this game (along with BFV and SW:BF2) within the past few months, and would also love to have them on Steam, but if I have to pay for them again, then I'm good. Not doing that ever.

What would be best is they had allowed people to buy it from Steam in the first place, you could play it just through Steam and Steam overlay would work with BF1 but it's not the case so there is really no point in asking for Steam version, though, only plus I can think of it is, I mostly play games through Steam so sometimes I forget the games I own on other platforms and I forget there are other platforms so I forgot about EA games until now, LOL. I wasn't even aware there is new battlefield and need for speed game because of it SMH LOL.
