Achievements don't work

As I started BF1 i got all the Steam-achievements that a previously got on Origin, but in BF3 it doesn't work.

Edit: It worked with all EA Games I own on Steam except BF3.

I think there is a problem with the bf3 achievements on origin right now, because just now i tried to get the Jaws achievement (easiest achievement) and it is not unlocking in both steam/origin too, so maybe the problem is related.

Yeah it's a pity but I'm sure they'll get onto it. Pretty big task syncing all of those games up at the same time so can understand the odd glitch.

I tried again and i got Jaws this time in the same pool in Oman lol, so anyway the problem is probably only here on Steam, so we should wait EA to fix this, i hope they do...

Syncing works for Mass effect 3 but not here. So apparently BF3 is the only broken game - again

I was able to get achievements to pop for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1, but not Battlefield 3...which I have the most of.

I also purchased Battlefield 3 the first few days it launched, when it was still having issues where it would replace the Origin version (rather than simply adding a second steam-linked library entry like it does now). So now on origin I Only have a Steam-linked copy, which is fine I guess, but I'm not sure if that's why the achievements won't pop. BF1/BF4, I have 2 copies in my origin library, the origin-only versions and the steam-linked versions. I don't know if the achievement thing is searching for an original origin version to copy achievements from or if it's just completely bugged.

Has anyone else, who purchased this game later on (in july), who has TWO library entries on origin (an original origin version And a steam linked version), been able to get any achievements to pop?

A friend of mine got battlefield 3 a couple weeks ago and has 2 library entries on origin, the original origin version and a steam linked version....I will ask them to check and see if they can get any achievements to pop by running the steam version, just to eliminate this buggy issue as a potential cause. I will post an update once I get more info.

As for the issue of getting the original origin version restored if you bought this game on launch day....looks like as of right now, there's no way to do it, contacting multiple EA reps resulted in me being granted a 3rd origin-only copy of battlefield, which invalidated my steam-linked copy, then contacting them multiple times after to have that 3rd copy removed, which got the steam-linked copy working again, but still missing the original origin-only copy I activated in 2012.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you have 2 versions of the game (Steam and Origin), i think they didn't implement it correctly to Steam so everyone has the issue.

kk, my friend got back to me, same issue, no achievement pops even with 2 library entries, so we can eliminate that separate issue as a possibility.

yeah, confirmed now with 2 sources, looks like it's just a BF3 issue.

Anyone else is worried that EA won't fix this ? Game is averaging 100 players and this number is dropping (Steam charts)[steamcharts.com]so I'm afraid they just won't bother.

I agree, that would fit on how ea handles business....

That'd be a pitty honestly. Imaging asking to pay again for a title but are not able to bring it to work. If they wont fix this I wont bother buying any other AAA titles from them. This is the top of the bottom.

I can't even start the game anymore, idk what happened but not only the achievements are broken also my game is broken too now.
