Battlefield 3: CO-OP Game Cancelled (How To Fix Guide)
Hey!
Because of the recent promotions for Battlefield 3, I decided to purchase the game with a friend, but we couldn't get the CO-OP mode to work. At some point, however, by trial and error, we managed to fix it, perhaps this guide will help someone.

1. Port Forwarding

Typically, games require some ports to be forwarded in order to function. In our case, it was enough for the host (me) to perform this step.

TCP: 9988, 17502, 20000-20100, 22990, 27015-27030, 27036-27037, 42127
UDP: 3659, 4380, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300, 27000-27031, 27036

2. A friend or you are offline.

Due to the migration of accounts from Origin to the EA App, and the general obsolescence of the site which no one even wants to update for the sake of players, there may be a problem with online status, but the solution to this is very simple.

- Head to the Settings tab on the Battlelog page
- In the Set language tab, change the language to another from the list and hit save.
- Repeat this step, changing the language to the original one.

At this point you should have an online status on the Battlelog site :)

These two points were completely enough to fix the problem with the CO-OP game in my case.

hey can you please tell me how did you do port forwarding?

I find that there is no need to specify ports since BF3 by default seems to set ports to "all" in the windows firewall, correct me if I'm wrong. I also completed all the CO-Op missions and now I cannot start a new match of Co-op, I would like help with that

I wish I could help you but it all depends on your type of internet and the router you have.

Yes, the guide still works.

Are you sure this is not a punkbuster related issue? Manually updating it will also fix people getting randomly booted from matches.

sooo.... how does this work and how theese ports will help me? How do I use them in any way?

HERE IS THE SOLUTION in 2024:

- You have to open Port UDP 3659 at the router settings
- If it don't wrok, ask your friend to host (invite) and open Port UDP 3659 at his router

For us it was the solution to run the Coop-Multiplayer again after many many years. It took 1 1/2 hours to figure out.... You can imagine how happy we were :-)

The problem is due to the change from ORIGIN to EA. The UDP is a communication port. Without this open port, the game ends after a short period of time "waiting for Player 2 to join" etc. immediately.

Good luck, hooorraa
