I was surprised by how many bizarre methods people suggest to get the game running. For example: "Try launching the game without Origin." (Don’t do this unless absolutely necessary — seriously, it's not worth it.)

Battlefield runs through a browser, which is inconvenient and often unreliable. When browser developers phased out plugins, Battlelog became extremely unstable. This bug has plagued players since around 2014.

If you're stuck in an endless loop of connecting and disconnecting, can’t join a server, or get a timeout error, try the steps below:

Here’s what you need to do:

Solving Problems with Server Login

[] Buy the game. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
[] Log in to Battlelog (if you just bought the game and haven’t done this yet).
[] Disable AdBlock on this site.[] Try to join any BF3 server.[] Close the "BF3" process in Task Manager if the process didn’t close itself.[] Log out of Battlelog.[] Log back into Battlelog.[] Join any BF3 server.
1. Enjoy the game!

In 99% of cases, this works — at least for me and my friends. If not, keep reading or try switching browsers. Opera tends to work well.

There’s also a belief that launching the game directly from the browser (rather than through Steam) improves stability. I can’t confirm this since I don’t own the Steam version of the game.

If You Still Have Problems, Try These Solutions:

[] If you have a white screen or the game crashes, make sure that Origin was downloaded manually and not installed automatically with the game (this happens sometimes). Reinstall Origin from the official site.Additionally, try the following:
[] Reinstall PunkBuster.[] Update Microsoft Visual C++.[] Add the BF3 process to your antivirus exceptions.[] It may sound obvious, but try updating your graphics card driver.
[] If you have issues with PunkBuster, try adding it to your antivirus exceptions or reinstalling it.
• Kicked by admin. If you saw this message, you were LITERALLY kicked by the admin (or by a server plugin). Some servers have level restrictions, prohibit certain kills, allow only knife fights, or ban specific weapons (like shotguns or explosives). Usually, this information is listed in the server name.

*With a recent Windows 10 update, some programs have experienced issues. This update may have affected BF3’s performance.

You can also try to enable Flash Player if it is disabled. In the old days, when plug-ins existed, this worked.

The guide contains a lot of unnecessary information. Why strain the reader so much? In addition, this discussion that you're reading the same guide :D

unnecessary information , MOST of that information crucial and needed. Most of what is written in this Guide is from allot of other steam player who can't launch the game.
You might write a comment on the guide if you think that something is wrong.

Where i can find key for activation game in origin?

@soldat, If you bought BF3 on steam it will automatically link to your account that you have open on the ORIGIN platform without the need for keys. (I can't check it myself, I just passed on the words of other community members.). But, try to do this: Choose the game "Battlefield 3" in steam. on the right under the game banner there will be a button with the gear icon. click on it. manage>cd keys. If there is no key, I think you need to contact support. Unfortunately, I have not encountered this situation personally and I can't help you with anything more. I hope you solve this problem.

Но, попробуйте сделать это: Выберите игру "Battlefield 3" в steam. справа под игровым баннером появится кнопка со значком шестеренки. щелкнуть по нему. управление > цифровой ключ. Still nothing, game won't even launch at all.

I have amassed over 5K+ hours on bf3 on origin and unlocked everything. I like the idea of starting all over on Steam. So here i am, can't launch this game for sht.

I did all steps i could find all over discussion thread. I even checked for graphic card update even though that wasn't necessary at all.

• 32gb ram

This "guide" was written based on what I went through. If none of this worked, I don't know what to do. If you did everything I recommended, it should solve the problem, but it usually does... Nothing can be that easy, yeah?)

Go to your documents /battlefield 3 /settings and delete the file named 'PROF_SAVE_profile"
Then repair the game on steam.
Restart origin.

Thank you for the nice words. I love BF3 very much and want to help people. I consider it my duty. (This sounded a little strange, but that's not the point.)

Just try this:

• run BF3.exe in compatibility mode
  
• update/change your browser
  
• launch origin as administrator
  
• delete the battlefield 3 folder from my documents (it helped a lot, according to others)
  
• launch BF3 not from stream but from battlelog. ( https://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/ )

Maybe all these solutions seem very basic, but if you haven't done any of them yet, it might help.I hope just something will help you.
