wheel and shifter support?
I tried the original on PS3 way back when, it did work with my G25 wheel, but it forced you to use auto trans, no shifting is a no buy for me, I HATE auto trans in a game
is the remaster the same? does it support Fanatec V2.5?
I am looking for something arcade like Wreckfest, just to drive around in a fun open world

It's all auto transmission. If that's so much of a turn-off for you, look elsewhere.

Whats next? Shifer support for Rocket League? Flight sticks for Battlefield?

It's an arcade game, not a simulator. It doesn't need manual transmission.

auto trans is not fun in any game, arcade or sim, or in real life
auto trans is only good for little old ladies, and wussies

You're an elitist snob, with an inflated ego.

Maybe iRacing is more your style.

you have no idea what you are talking about
and iracing HAS manual trans, like ALL good driving OR racing games SHOULD have
it is lazy programming that doesnt have auto trans with wheel support,

Yep, definitely an elitist who's convinced of his own superiority.

Go back to rFactor where you belong and let us enjoy our Burnout in peace. We won't miss you.

You're clearly proving my point that Burnout is definitely not for you.

And for the record, when I played Baja: Edge of Control, I played with manual gears. But every other game, if I have the choice, I use automatic. Lets me focus more on the driving itself rather than managing anything else.

manual gears does just that, it lets you focus on playing the game, and enjoying the driving experience instead of letting the game play itself, which is BORING, auto trans is as boring if not more boring in the virtual world than it is in the real world. why play a game if the developer sucks all the fun out of it with forced auto trans????? manual trans is FUN!!! make the game FUN, it aint rocket science you know
(I never tried Baja game? but I will check it out)

Get. Over. Yourself. Not all of us have the knowledge of how to perfectly interpret our engine RPM to be able to time the perfect gearshift. The ONLY reason I even tolerated manual gears in Edge of Control is because the game was extremely lax with downshifting when played with auto transmission. Otherwise, I'd have played it with auto gears too.

And furthermore, just look at the kind of game Burnout Paradise is. You're dodging traffic at 200 miles an hour, while trying to slam your rivals into the wall, and avoiding the same fate yourself. It's a non-stop smash-fest in rush hour traffic where the slightest lapse in concentration or the smallest misstep can result in disaster. It's NOT the kind of gameplay where manual gears would be anything more than a hindrance, especially with the drifting mechanics.

Again, either accept that this game isn't designed for manual gears, or Get. Lost.

you are totally wrong, I have played burnout (on PS3) and the ONLY thing wrong with it was the lack of manual trans
I have a lot of hours in Wreckfest, and that has very very similar game mechanics,
and it is a MUCH MUCH BETTER game with manual trans, in fact I would say ALL driving games are better with manual trans, (as are all real cars)

Frankly, all I've ever heard from you in this thread basically amounts to
"STOP HAVING FUN!!!:steamsalty:"

GET. OVER. YOURSELF. Not everyone is exactly like you, so stop thinking like you're somehow superior to us.

stop being a fan boy and defending a broken game
it is not my fault the game was never patched to fix this problem
I am sure a LOT more people would be complaining if it they were forced to use manual gears with no auto option, YOU among them,
a PROPER game has BOTH options, a BROKEN game doesn't,
