Game crashes on start up

Game crashes right after it shows a paradise city logo and a loading cricle but before the EA logo comes up.

Crashes on start-up can have many reasons, sadly. The most common one is probably the camera bug though, meaning if you have a webcam or webcam interferring program (such as OBS), you should probably turn it off. Same also goes for overlays, such as the Discord or RivaTuner one.

If those things didn't work, check out the core-bugfixes mod from Bo98 you can find here. [bpr.bo98.uk] This mod fixes a bunch of crash reasons at once, so it's definitely worth checking out. Lastly, if that still didn't work for some reason, check out this post where I listed all currently known crash-fixes for BPR.

Yeah ill try the bug fixes mod, i have no camera, no dickord or obs and i've gone through almost all videos on what might be crashing it like people on your ea freindslist having weird usernams and other bs.

Dickord lmao, hope that was a typo haha

But yeah, these people in your friendlist are deleted or hacked accounts, and can cause issues with some EA games for some reason, so you should remove them. But if you're really not sure what's crashing your game, check out my post. One of these points will work!

Steam Deck per chance? I’ve had the same issue since the recent implementation of the EA launcher (replacing Orgin).

Nah no steam deck, also tried unplugging my xbox 360 controller and mic, bt headset. I've had trouble before with this windows pro N version im using that its missing abunch of dll's for some games that need them. But since its not giving me an error code i dont know what to look for if thats the issue.

Unrelated issue but anyone here know anything about .CRN files and how to convert them in to .DDS files? H&G a game i've played for years is shutting down and wanted to rip the models and textures for modding and archiving.
