Wanna try the Big Surf Island DLC but wanna finish the main island first.
But honestly, it's increadibly difficult to handle this car... I wouldn't recommend driving it if you're still a beginner. But it's so fun to drive around and do stunts with when you know how to control it. And yep, most of the police cars are just re-skins of their original car. Only special thing they have is the siren, which you can use to annoy other players in online lol
- The Jansen P12 is already one of the best stunt cars in the game, and also performs great in races. In the '88 Special, once you press the horn button, you're gonna see some serious ♥♥♥♥. It has a flight mode that increases its speed and I'm fairly sure lets it glide further over jumps. It can be a little more difficult to handle in this mode however, but once you can get the hang of it it's one of the fastest rides you can get.
- The GT Nighthawk is a max-strength car with the handling of a stunt-class car with speed boost. It is quite possibly the best car in the game overall, and can perform well in just about any event you put it to. It's also been the bane of online lobbies since way back in the day- In a full-speed head-on collision with another player, the Nighthawk always wins. ALWAYS.
The police cars were released with the Cops and Robbers DLC, which included the Cops and Robbers mode for online Freeburn. They're otherwise identical to the vanilla roster besides the paint and siren, but that does also mean you basically have every car in the game unlocked from the start.
The Extreme Hotrod in the Boost Specials pack has unlimited boost, but you cannot stop boosting. This is both as powerful and as terrifying as it sounds. The Hawker Mech might also be good if you want to just get events churned out since you can switch boost types on the fly, but a jack of all trades is a master of none and all that.
The toy vehicles are fun novelties with lower stats, but they also seem to be measurably more durable than their life-size counterparts. They're pretty good, though the short wheelbase does affect their handling significantly.
Finally, Big Surf Island comes with the Carson Dust Storm out of the box. This is already one of the best stunt cars you can get, but you can get an upgrade from completing its burning route. The Dust Storm Superturbo is possibly the best stunt car in the entire game, and IMO is the best car for exploration and finding collectibles. Speaking of which, you can unlock toy versions of the legendary cars from getting all the jumps, smash gates, billboards, and road rules on the island! And while their stats are a bit lower they're still just as busted as the originals, plus the extra durability from being toys.
1.The police cars can turn on the light by pressing H
2.the delorean can hover
3.the ghost buster can turn on the lights too
4.the general lee car can honk
5.the toy cars can never get wrecked
