Why does DJ Atomika have a male voice in the remastered version?

I've played this game on the PS3 and the female voice kinda grew onto me so it feels weird to have this other voice announce all the things now.

Is there a way to change it?

He always had a male version except for the Italian local version.

Hmm, it might be that it was a female voice in the german version then.

Seems like i forgot about that one.

I think there's a mod if you want to disable his comments but I don't think you can change his gender

they made it female in certain european localizations because you europeans are bigoted towards the surfer bro usa accent.

You can only change the language since there is no female record in english, i think all other versions are voiced by females
