iv spent hours on reddit and on google and have tried everything iv seen like disconnecting camera and trying to switch it to the NVIDA driver and still nothing. why cant EA make a good port? i just want to play the game

the game is great and i love it, its just the EA port is so lazy and broken much like all of their other games

i had the same problem, i closed the origins hidden icon and the steam hidden icon then tried to launch the game, hope this helps

i can't run the game through steam or origin.
try this, run the BurnoutPR.exe from the install directory. may want to run as administrator.
works for me.

if this method works for you, just create a shortcut of the exe on your start menu for convenience

Hi guys, i solved the crashes and i would like to help with some solutions:

turn off the camera

dont use the steam big picture configuration (if you are using a gamepad)

turn off origin interface

close msi affterburner program

reinstall or install if you dont have it install directX and vccredist (you can find it in the local files of BurnoutPR.)

activate vsync (the game is locked to 60 fps, if your monitor have more [like my monitor] this can help because the game will crash with more than 60 fps.)

I forget it, i remember another ones:

Remove the files from temp ( you can access to this file pressing windows + R and writting %temp%.

Allow access the game to your firewall

if you are using Nvidia be sure the game is running with your GPU ( if you have Amd like me do this too).

Disconnect devices (VR and cameras).

remove recording software can help too (Dxtory for example)

if i remember more solutions i will write there here.

I too found a solution(s) -- I can finally run the game directly through steam or origin.

I tried a few things all at once so I'm not sure what will work for you.

- Close Origin and make sure Origin is running as Administrator (right click >run as admin, or properties > compatibility > run as administrator). Origin will prompt you upon starting the app that compatibility mode is enabled. Click ok/yes.

- Run Origin in R&D Mode. [i.imgur.com]

- Opt into the Origin beta. (Origin > Application Settings > in the application tab scroll to "Client update" > enable "Participate in Origin technical previews > restart Origin.

I am doing all 3 of these things and mine works. you may not have to. see what works for you.

yea that can work too, if you wont use online mode is more easy to turn off origin, but with that solution i can see EA dont work on do solutions for the crashes.

i close afterburner and work for me the problem i think was overlays...

Yeah, turning off in-game overlay in EA settings did it for me. It works now.
