Huh? (What happened to Ultimate Box??)
I bought the 'Ultimate Box' version barely a few months ago,

and now, because 'this' game was released (which is arguably a cash-grab with nothing more than slightly improved graphics, which some people do -Not- want - many prefer the 'older' style graphics without all the 'flashy edges' and 'visual noise' modern games have),

it completely removed Ultimate Box?????

Supposedly now Ultimate Box is unplayable multiplayer AND had all it's DLC's removed ??

What??

So what happened to my Ultimate Box purchase exactly now that this "game" is out?

Can someone explain clearly what exactly happened to Ultimate Box (I haven't even played it yet, I played the 360 version for a while back in the day and thought it was one of the best racing games of all time, and I wanted to simply relive that experience on pc, without flashy 'updated' graphics etc).

Yes, I did read Gamer Alex write-up but you can't seriously be telling me a game I bought barely 3 months ago just got 'gutted' (had all it's dlc's etc removed) just because the publisher decided to release a flashier 'updated' version.

Someone help me understand what exactly is going on with the Ultimate Box version now,

thanks

More Specifically --

What exactly 'were' those dlc's that were supposedly 'removed' ?

i.e. "Boost Special" is that a car? A car mechanic that adds turbo boosts? New Tracks?
What exactly happened to it with this Remastered release?

I'm wondering about all the dlc's.

Also, is the xbox 360 version still going and is that multiplayer playable?

Cool thanks I know it seems like a big question but man I'm surprised people aren't more angry at this,

Who are these guys to sell a barely different "game" and completely destroy the same thing they sold barely a few months ago, what kind of nonsense is this?

I meant more like "I bought it and now with this remastered release a whole bunch of 'changes' were made to Ultimate Box including removal of DLC's, lack of online multiplayer etc'.

I'm not asking 'where is it', I'm asking "what happened to it to people that have it in their library."

If you bought the previous version you'll keep it in your library. The only difference now is that you can't buy the other version but if you bought it or activated the game via key, you'll still have it in your library.

Ultimate Box never had DLCs unless you bought them yeeeears ago (the Bonus Vehicle pack, I mean) while they were available. Ultimate Box is exactly the same as you bought a few months ago. This one actually includes the two big DLCs which were never put on the PC, Cops and Robbers and Big Surf Island, along with the Bonus Vehicle Pack DLC (minus the Timesavers Pack, which just unlocks everything).

TL;DR, No DLCs were removed.

The Boost Specials Collection has two cars that have special boost modes specific to that pack. The Hawker Mech gives you access to all three boost types, Speed, Stunt, and Agression, and the Carson Extreme Hot Rod gives you a new type of boost, locked, which is a boost which "locks" on.

Toy Collection just gives you a few cars that are toy-ified.

and the Legendary Cars Collection gives you a few cars inspired by movies and TV shows.

Actually there was a way to get dlcs. Apparently Amazon sold long time ago codes for all the dlcs.

As I said, "unless you bought them years ago." I made a guide on here on how to get them, but I removed it because Amazon stopped selling them.

That game is in your library. No one will remove it from it

Guys I'm sorry I made it sound confusing, but the basic premise was that the 'Ultimate Box' HAD all the dlc's included when you bought it,

that was the whole point of buying it, to 'get' all the DLC's made for the game consolidated into one package, i.e. 'the Ultimate Box'.

What I'm talking about is this post --

Differences
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
Online has been shutdown, which means the DLCs no longer work. Physical copies also don't work since they can no longer complete the online check.
No longer on Steam & Origin
Steam
Origin key is also given
Origin
Also uses Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM
Amazon
Origin key
Physical Disk
Uses SecuROM, limit of 5 activation, CD key can be activated on Origin.
Comes with Cagney, Bikes, and Party Pack

------ >>>> 4 Additional DLCs that no longer work, <<---
and can not be purchased through the in game store, or Origin.

Time Savers Pack
Boost Special
Toy Cars
Legendary Cars
Does not include the Cops and Robbers & Big Surf Island DLC <<<<< ------------

So my original post was meant to ask, "Okay I bought the Ultimate Box, that had all the consolidated DLC's included, but upon reading that post supposedly dlc's were removed/changed/don't work ???? "

Never mind the outrage players should have that servers shut down for that game but work for the new "Remastered" version,

what in the world requires a completely different set of servers for a game that barely had any changes made to it?

The whole thing smacks of marketing to make 40 bucks off people who don't know better,

you guys should be outraged over that..

Thanks for any help

(Note people have mentioned, "Ultimate Box never had any dlcs unless you bought it years ago" I dont' think that's correct I would only have bought that if it had dlc's, which is not only implied in the name but I'm pretty sure I seen it blatantly stated, "Includes all (or most) of the DLC's ever released for Paradise City" etc, or else I would not have bought it (or would have bought the 'dlc's' as part of a package to complete the set, which I didn't, which means the 'Ultimate Box' would have had them included already.)

There's no need to name a game 'Ultimate Box' unless it includes something the original didn't have, or else people would just buy the original game called " Paradise City ".

The whole thing is a mess and this is what I'm trying to understand, what exactly did the 'Ultimate Box' have included in the purchase, what does 'Paradise City' have as dlc's through it's WHOLE lifetime,

and which of those (in Ultimate Box and out) have stayed -- consistent -- through this 'Remastered' release which (based on that Gamer Alex post) DLC's have been 'changed/removed/affected'.

The only consistent thing I know is that mp no longer works because Ultimate Box isn't connected to any servers anymore,

the rest is mushy nonsense and still not clear (maybe Alex's post made it sound confusing?)

I know this is late, but The Ultimate Box never had all the DLCs, it's just the name of the PC port. You always had to buy Time Savers Pack, Boost Special, Toy Cars, and Legendary Cars.

The Ultimate Box on PC never came with free DLCs and the online servers were shut down a long time a go, way before the release of this remaster. There is a way however for you to have all the DLC available on PC for the Ultimate Box but I won't go into more details but a quick Google search can help you.
