Thought I'd test my luck despite the recent ProtonDB reviews, but as they say: EA have absolutely nuked this game's Proton compatibility. Even under Proton Experimental and with in the launch options - sure it gets further (actually to the menu) but as soon as I try to "Enter Paradise City", I see the dreaded EA App for a millisecond before boom, crashed back to Steam.

Somehow, a game which should be an absolute no-brainer to recommend becomes a hard pass.

I just couldn’t get passed the intro splash cutscenes: crash on launch.

But even if I did… I’m not sure I can recommend it since this single player game requires a constant internet connection.
