Q: Still 3rd party DRM 2025 ?

Hello. I think about to buy this game but i dont want all this ea account things.

It is almost 2025 and i would like to know if DA2 still requires 3rd party DRM.

nothing changed and u cant even get the dlcs anymore. either buy the game on ea directly or dont even bother.

look at this forum, plenty of people cant launch the game due EA app issues, stay away from always online DRM like this.

i have dragon age origins because doesn't require EA app

i skipped dragon age II and inquisition cuz EA is forcing you to install the disgusting launcher (always online drm) so i pass.

its 3rd party drm which sucks but like it still runs fine for me since i had origin already installed the only thing is that you need to log in in the actual game to get the dlcs which they dont tell you beforehand

ymmv tho i heard people are having issues with the ea launcher

Wait what? The "ultimate" version here doesnt even include all DLCs like Origin!?

YES ea requires drm launcher ea app
and ea app is a problem for all there pc games

Well no DA2 for me then since EA doesnt want to provide the very basics. Not like I'm missing out on much. Guess Im gonna watch an old lets play or something. Or play actual functional games.

you might have to activate the dlcs on the ea app but i dunno i pirated and beat it already before buying it on steam

but tbh the dlcs not working on steam are like not even the main problem of the game considering that its so buggy and broken that i had it mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of it for it to even be functioning and adjust it to not crash every hour

the dlcs work on dragon age 2 but i had to log in within the game

Took me 1 h to get the game running with the EA app beeing involved. There are solutions out there and they work. Still a shame that we have to deal with it. Just pirating the game might be easier. I stopped pirating games since steam is offering all I ever wanted, seeing this mess of launcher x and y however... (and bullxxxx like Fable 2 never beeing on PC).
