Steam Overlay is not working.

At first, Steam Overlay was working for a while, but now it's not working anymore. I tried to disable EA app in game overlay, but still, Steam Overlay is not working. I thought that maybe that was the case. In other games, overlay is working fine it's exclusive to DA2. Could anyone help me with this issue?

I have the same problem. It was working before, and now I can't take screenshots. It works fine for other games. I have the overlay enabled. I tried running the game without mods and that still didn't work.

Same, not being able to take SS is very annoying for me because I like to capture many SS while playing games.
I hope someone in the forums help us, nothing on the net resolved this weird issue so far.

I found a partial solution here https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/19eu5aj/ea_games_steam_overlay/

You need to add EA Desktop App to the Steam library, then launch EA Desktop App through Steam, and then you finally can launch game through the Steam and Steam overlay will be there.

This does allow you to take screenshots, but unfortunately you can't really upload them to the community for DA2. Unless there's a way to do it that I don't know about.

FYI, it came back again. I don't exactly know what happened, but ig the issue was related to the EA launcher. In EA launcher there's an option to enable or disable the in game overlay, it was disabled in mine, but whatever the cause, the overlay enabled itself again, and I don't know how, but all seems back to normal. Check it out yourself if you want to see your issue persist. Now, I can take a screenshot and share it without issues. I hope it stays that way.

Thanks for letting me know! Turns out I actually had to turn on the overlay in EA launcher for it to work.

I fixed this problem by disabling Rivatuner and enabling in-game overlay in the EA app settings.
