Anders Gift

I found a Tevinter Chantry Amulet which is a gift for Anders. But when I give it to him, I always get -15 Rivalry instead of friendship. Why is that?

Depends on how you respond to him. I assume you must've picked a response to him that likely he didn't like thus the rivalry points.

I saved the game and tried all of the options. They all gave the same result.

Been long time since playing, I remember I chose careful and nice comebacks during the gift conversation and he had given me friendship points afterwards.
Is he rude or upset in every option you choose?

^this. You gotta make sure you're buddybuddy with him. But even then they don't leave do they? they can respect you as a person but hate your guts?
