Dragon Age 2 won't launch

Upon downloading the game, I managed to play it fine. Now the game won't start at all, clicking play from Steam or EA app just restarts the EA app. Please help

It took a while when first time trying to launch it after a fresh install because EA app/Origin is pulling data from their server.

I started it and figured it would still not work. I went to make lunch and it started 10 minutes after I hit start. It did not say it was running or anything. I guess you have to wait for them to get there stuff figured out.

Having this problem myself, can't even get the game to launch for the first time since the ea app doesn't seem to do anything once it starts, it kinda just disappears and clicking on the ea window on the taskbar (which is blank) just brings up a black window that does nothing till it says its not responding

I have that problem with Assassins Creed. It goes blank and does nothing. I found if you use the sleep button or the power button to put your computer to sleep when it goes blank, and then start the computer back up it starts the game.

It's incredibly frustrating... launches maybe once every 4-5 times I try it, and regularly crashes too... closing MSI Afterburner helps too

Mine is coming up can't run if full screen mode now. It comes up faster and I can change it back to full screen when it starts. I am just glad it works. I have a gaming PC with windows 11 and my laptop runs the game better.

For those encountering this issue in 2024, disabling the EA overlay fixed it for me. Thanks for the tip.

I'm having trouble getting past the EA overlay and I don't know how to disable it. All the options on my task manager don't do anything except close the window, which closes the instance. It's really pissing me off.

the game was working for me ...but it stopped working..how do i disable overlay ...one method would be to go to installed EA launcher and disable it ..but that would disable in all games
