i can play the game through steam in online mode but if i want to go offline in steam, it directs me to origins where i am required to add the game by entering the product code. where can i fin the product code of the game?

There isn't a Dragon Age 2 game in your EA library with the "Steam" logo on it? When I set up the Steam version I had to download Origin and it added the game to my library there. I also had to open Steam, then open EA, then click the DA 2 in my library with the Steam logo.

If the game has a product code then you will be able to find it by right clicking the game name on the left on the list in your library, but most games on Steam don't a product key as far as I know.
