DLCs not working?
I bought the DLC bundle and installed it. Steam client says the DLCs are installed. The game itself when I launch it says they are installed as well. But I can't for example access the black emporium. Something is not right here. I guess this is more on EAs end, any clue what to do or how to let them know?

As I have suspected you HAVE to login to a EA account (login inside of the game again) to be able to use the DLC. After I logged in, the "*" from every DLC was gone as well as the "(Unauthorized)". It appears as though the validity of the DLC Key is only checked when you log into a EA account which is pretty dumb if you ask me. Nevertheless this issue is solved. Thanks to everyone who was trying to help me.

Hah, yeah, the authorization step requires that you be logged in. Didn't realize you were logged out. Glad you sorted it out! Have fun.

I would think that after one is done with the expedition the "prologue" should be over and I can not access the black emporium. Care to enlighten me what you mean by prologue?

The prologue is the starting section escaping the darkspawn and the arrival at Kirkwall. You will know exactly when the prologue ends because there is a cutscene and the game moves forward in time. To be more precice the DLC should be available right after you meet Varic

Yes I am way past that as you can tell because I am done with the expedition. So I'd say the DLCs don't work fine at all. Supposedly you get a letter for the black emporium and I have gotten nothing. Any clue how to fix this?

There should be a Downloadable Content main menu section when you start the game. What shows up when you select it?

A screen with installed downloadable content appears. All DLCs are listed there with a * in front of their names. It appears as though they are installed.

Letter asside - Is the black emporium available for fast travel ? If I recall correctly the icon is near Darktown

No it is not. I also don't have a delivery chest in my estate as some of these "DLCs" are items you get. Unless this delivery chest is the storage chest. But nothing is inside of that chest either.

I think I'm going to reinstall the game. Verifying game files did nothing.

Hmm, mine don't have an asterisk (*) next to them. Have you looked to see if there are any directories downloaded in your Addins directory?

Hmm, I had 22 folders after Origin updated the game on first run. It did not automatically install Black Emporium and I had to figure out another way to install it. Here is the list I have:

  • da2_mtx_000
  • da2_mtx_001

  • da2_mtx_mag

Have you tried deleting the folders and letting Origin re-download them?
