Controller support?

I'm a fan of the series and I played DA2 a long time ago on PS3. I'm trying to figure out how to get the controller to work, but judging by what everyone is saying, support isn't part of the game? Is there a mod for this somewhere? I don't want to play with mouse and keyboard.

Did they make a mistake and give Steam the wrong version? Do Bioware/EA know about this? If they don't add controller support, is it possible to return this game for a refund?

Its not really something anyone in their right mind is going to attempt to mod. It would require a UI foundation overhaul. There is no way to scroll the menu with any keys. It is mouse only. Which is lame AF

Back when I bought this game, I recall trying to play it with a controller - then I gave up and used M&K. I generally try to avoid M&K for games, but some just work better with it. I can't even imagine trying to play DAO with a controller and DA2 plays fine with keyboard, so it's worth giving it a go unless you are worried you'll surpass the time allowed playing before you can get a refund.
