Am thinking EA pass like on Xbox. But you should be fine.
I wish my advisor would've done that, but after 4 hours and me pointing her to do that she still couldn't do anything... sad.
I'll be trying again soon, hope I get someone more competent... or that the "product specialist" we escalated the issue to will contact me soon, hopefully with good news...
Adding free DLC bundle on Origin if you purchased the game on Steam will almost certainly cause the loss of online pass. That happened to me few days ago and as you said the only way is to reach them via Twitter, because EA "advisors" working the live chat and email are totally incompetent.
DM @EAHelp on Twitter (don't tweet at them, send them a direct message) with your account details and explain the problem, they will usually respond and fix it.

But nothing worked, and I echo the above sentiment that the people running EA chat help have no clue when it comes to this issue. DM'd on twitter, but it's a chat bot now and nobody ever responded to my @. Unfortunately I had to refund the game before my 2 hours were up. Very saddening because this was probably the most fun co-op multiplayer I ever played back in the 360 days.
