If people didn't do this, this is what happens. It happened to many of my favorite franchices:
- Great game gets sequel
- Sequel does something everyone hates
- It doesn't sell as well
- People's complaints are shouted down by fanboys so the devs have no idea why it's not doing as well as they thought it would
- Devs say "Oh well, guess they're just bored with the series :)" and can the franchise.
Your own words. Enjoy complaining. After this reply I will give the same reaction you will get from anyone outside the hate -train : silence
EA/The original bioware devs do read the forums. Some of them do care about the game they put endless hours into.
True, No one person with power hears, and no one voice is loud enough to matter.
But a million whispers of outrage can eventually amount to thunderous shout that EA will one day have no choice but to respond to.
Spam on EA haters, there's plenty of valid reason for this game / release.
I think the worst of it is that the ENTIRE reason Mass Effect exists, was created , was because Bioware wanted to be free . They wanted to be free of the man, the lack of creative control, the license fees , etc - keep in mind all their previous big successes were based on popular IP's they did not own (Dungeons and Dragons, Star wars)..
They made the mass effect universe so that they had something they could call their own, and really invest into.
Yet here we are. Mass Effect was sold to the man, and killed off. The original creators have no rights to it and have no way to continue the series in the way they envisioned. EA killed the mass effect series and we should never let them forget it.
