SOLUTION: HOW TO FIX GAME NOT INSTALLED/ CAN'T LAUNCH
For anyone having this issue for Titanfall 2, please check your registry.

Go to your search bar and type in Registry, click on Registry Editor and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>respawn then check where the registry is looking for your install and that it matches where your steam install is. My registry was aimed towards the wrong folder, so I updated it to my actual Titanfall 2 install folder and it instantly started working the next time I pressed play through Steam


Should work for other games.

I didn't do anything strange, i only modified the registry but like before it doesn't work

Export the current registry to your desktop as a backup then delete that one in the reg, try inserting the other in it's place.

Backup yours to your desktop and delete the one contained within the registry.

If you add 'Install Dir' back in right click it and edit the value data and add 'data' to it.

Actually change it to 'Path'

Actually change it to 'Path'
After you've added Install Dir and changed the Value data to 'Path' then double click and add your install directory.

Close EA and hit play on steam.
