SOLUTION: HOW TO FIX GAME NOT INSTALLED/ CAN'T LAUNCH

For anyone having this issue for Titanfall 2, please check your registry.

Go to your search bar and type in Registry, click on Registry Editor and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>respawn then check where the registry is looking for your install and that it matches where your steam install is. My registry was aimed towards the wrong folder, so I updated it to my actual Titanfall 2 install folder and it instantly started working the next time I pressed play through Steam


Should work for other games.

literally all you do is launch the EA app, find your install from steam when you download from EA and it just verifies the files in seconds, no need for registry lmao

Yea that never worked for me either. The registry edit is the only thing that worked.

Only change Install DIR, double click it and change it to your correct install location of Titan fall 2.

Do you have only a steam copy of the game or an EA one as well?
If you have an EA copy you can start and cancel the download and it'll add the string you need if you don't already have it.

otherwise the only other way I can think of is if you purchase the game for $3 now on EA, start the download and then cancel before going back to the registry as that'll add it in.

What exactly did you change?
You're only meant to modify the install directory.
