Was there ever any rumor of a Titanfall 3?

I really enjoyed the campaign story when it initially came out in 2016 but eventually dipped out of the whole Titanfall realm after awhile and never really kept an eye on things.

Are there any die hard fans that know of any rumors of a sequel?
Or is it just going to be a dead franchise at this point? :/

Edit: I'd hate to see this lose momentum and receive the half-life 3 delay treatment.

Titanfall 3 was in development, then the devs decided to turn it into Apex Legends.

I remember there were rumors of respawn making a new game in Titanfall universe but I doubt it’ll be Titanfall 3.

Titanfall 3 sorta of was the prototype grounds for the thing that became Apex Legends.

EA pushed them too to do another tf entry but respawn refused and focused instead in apex and other of their games, rumors since 2020 say they're working in other game set in the same universe as titanfall and apex but it's not titanfall 3.
But hey rumors are rumors till there is a official marketing of said project.
