Do I need a paid subscription to play

I purchased TF2 during a sale and I’m finally getting a chance to play it. I keep ebonite ring a problem with EA to work l lol on my steam account. When I got to EA page I have to pay 6 bucks a month to play a game I already own?

Yes you have to pay 6$/month + 4$ in taxes. End of the year you need to calculate 69% taxes on top of it.

You no need to pay if you purchase the game only unless you purchase the EA play subscription which is the second or third purchase option in the steam store page of Titanfall 2 or any EA game.

In which case you need to contact steam and EA supports to stop billing cycle. Have in mind stopping a EA play subscription stop the access to the games till you purchase only the game again(progress will be keep due to the cloud sync of the EA account).
