Origin: Go to your game library > select Titanfall 2 > Settings > Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options > Add +communities_enabled 0 to Command line options then press save.
Vanilla Fix Steam
Open your Steam Library > Right click the game's title (in this case TitanFall|2) and select Properties. > On the General tab you'll find Launch Options section. > Enter the launch options you wish to apply in this case enter +communities_enabled 0 (be sure to separate each code with a space). > Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.
(have in mind the ddos topic tho some matches will work others no, all depends of the datacenter selected at the mainmenu & region timezone)
Yes it works to stay in TF2, but once in game you need to activat your network, mostly ADV or you will be out.
Waiting time is very very long because only around 10 players are on the network.
Guys try the Vanilla Fix for Origin and Steam.
Me need more players.
For northstar mod is a whole different story
limit internet speed to 128 kb/s (used linux, sudo wondershaper enp4s0 128 128)
Open multiplayer in titanfall 2, go to the communities tab.
limit internet speed to 512 kb/s (sudo wondershaper enp4s0 512 512)
change community
restore speed limit (sudo wondershaper clear enp4s0)
This is old so is not needed anymore unless you want to play community created servers.
In case of getting these errors: "contacting respawn servers" "cannot contact respawn" or multiplayer locked check this:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/troubleshooting/openssl-sha-crash-bug-requires-application-update.html
after reading, you take the decision if doing the extra steps. But yeah newer intel cpus have this missing variable bug which causes conflict with some older multiplayer games.
Northstar is a community mod that allows host or play in servers created by other players is no needed nowadays unless you want to play on them, have in mind since it's community hosted servers your data and stats start from zero or are different from the vanilla/maingame
