Full of hackers... not sure if to refund...

Hey so I started playing this game about a week ago and I've found this game to just be full of cheaters...

I'll wait 15 to 25+ minutes for a match on North American servers at 8pm US central time (which is a ridiculous wait time especially considering I'm matchmaking for every mode) just to get a match with some dude fragging everyone and getting 20+ with his titan. It's ridiculous man..

They're so blatant too, they don't even care to hide their wall hacks from you in the replays, not only that, but the silent aim! It's so blatant, and they use a pistol just to humiliate you with aimbot where they don't even have to put their crosshair on you. They're so blatant that they even forget to hide their tracer bullets or trackers in replays.

How do these people not get banned? Would playing on different server help? Would the first Titanfall game have less hackers? Please help me answer these questions, this game seems fun, I even have a favorite loadout and kits along with titan customized, but I don't wanna have to abandon game because of the hacker/cheater problem.

This game have a lot of cheaters, and the reason is to easy for cheating in game. I mean you can literally just search in Google "Titanfall 2 Cheat" and some cheat forum will show you how to cheat

I remember the developers saying they are well aware of all the cheating that is happening. Just nothing they can do they don't have the programming skills to protect the game. Think that's why they reduced the initial price down to bargain basement.

It is what it is, make most of the game.

The different is, the dev in others FPS game will try to patch and ban the cheater, meanwhile in TF2 old cheat still active and player not get banned using cheat. I see people named JDS cheating almost for a month and still match with him today

First off, even though this is a bait post, there is a wee bit of truth to it.

This game doesn't have a hacker problem, especially when you consider there's literally no anti-cheat whatsoever and EA doesn't pay too much attention to cheaters in this game, however I have seen hackers quite a few times whilst playing this game (albeit, not a lot considering that's over the course of 8000ish hours in MP, 1200 of which was on NS servers, although half of that on NS servers was ice-pick NS aka pre-release so eh)

I've seen maybe a total of 15 UNIQUE hackers in this game, the key word here is unique, as I have seen plenty of accounts, up in the low 20s, however it's been obvious that some of them are the same people. Considering my play time and whatnot, that's a very small number.

That's not to say I haven't seen or encountered and been unaware of a lot of cheaters, since cheating is objectively different from hacking. Cheating can be done using simple mods, etc. whereas hacks use some sort of external program or custom client to inject into the game or use some other process to cheat. There's also the fact that I personally consider controller on PC with AA enabled to be cheating, although I wouldn't compare it to something like literal aimbot or wall hacks.

There is no passive anti-cheat, that's the worst part, there's LITERALLY none.

At one point they had FairFight, but it's basically disabled and doesn't do ♥♥♥♥ now. Almost, if not all, fairfight bans are manually done.

but the game has turned into the game that all PvP games released since 2017-2018 are, crap. And I don’t want TITANFAL 3. I agree 100% with this sentiment.

Whoever has been allowed to tweak the game has caused many issues. The matchmaking disconnects are a result of EA/Respawn messing with the servers. They didn't exist before the first DDoS attack, and they were existent only AFTER the DDoS attacks were stopped (therefore the servers were patched)

They didn't fix it for over a year, then another DDoS attack happened, and after weeks they "fixed" the attacks, but the disconnects were much worse, as they screwed up the matchmaking system. No matter how many players were online, it would take 20 - 30 minutes to get a match and that was IF you remembered to reconnect during matchmaking. Eventually they fixed the matchmaking, but only AFTER they were "informed" by NS tards that there was a huge security exploit (that basically only affected the servers, not players). After that they basically did nothing for a year, until October 2023, when they started tweaking things more, and making the gamemodes weird and wacky, like northstar servers, which are dead for that very reason.

Thank goodness they no longer mess with the servers TOO much (besides banning random people who don't have a right to free speech in the game, this is terrible but still). They have returned the normal gamemodes. Although I wish they would return EVERYTHING including the old ADV message and broken glitch 24/7 icon, just for memories sake. So we can see what the game look like when the devs ORIGINALLY abandoned it.
