Is the game worth downloading again? i used to jst download it and hope for the servers to work. i recently installed it about a month ago and it looks like it when i press multiplayer, the game just freezes on the "Looking for servers" screen and doesnt find a server at all. Is this a common issue or could it be just me

Try iowa servers. New York is often dead and California servers are packed and laggier. Pick your poison or something in between. No biggie.
Some people have an issue with connecting and there are some guide fixes that may let you actually find people.
Matches take about 1-9 minutes to find depending on time / day / season. Glhf
The singleplayer is a great experience if you don't want to get destroyed jumping fresh in MP.

If you got intel CPU newer then 11th gen, tweaking some register files might help, but you need to google it

i have been enjoying multiplayer so far
have not encountered any cheaters, and if you find someone with the smart pistol they are not cheating, its just a boost.

northstar client is like a slide show, minimum 40 ping. EA servers are still better.
Northstar client is only East and some West so it's not very "Diverse" even though they claim to be.
Northstar community is woke, also.

System Properties / Environmental variable / system variables /new > variable name OPENSSL_ia32cap and value ~0x200000200000000 , restart computer , server will work

The official servers are not dead. In fact they usually have a much larger amount of players than North Star servers especially during sales. Don't spread nonsense. Most people just want to start up and play and aren't going to look for some obscure client for modded servers.

Multiplayer locks due to a bug with intel newer cpus you need to add a missing variable these cpus lack:

Multiplayer:
New york and the whole east coast of US datacenters are dead, sorta population in these tend to be during holidays or weekends at weird times (match making in these tend to be 5 to 10 mins)

So I suggest use the US south or west datacenters: Lowa, Oregon, Dallas, etc. matchmaking 2 to 4 mins

If in EU or you want to have that region as option: London and Frankfurt are your friends (timezones exist tho so have that in mind)
