Using joystick+mouse instead of keyboard+mouse
Hey all!

I recently bought a Logitech Atack 3 (it's a 9-button joystick that could work for left & right-hand users) hoping I would be able to use it in combination with my Logitech 5-button mouse to play Titanfall 2.

My idea is to use the mouse for aiming and the joystick to move, as well as it has several accessible buttons for different actions, I thought it was a great idea to combine them.

Does anyone know if such a thing is possible to configure to make it work? Inside Titanfall 2 settings, I can only see my Xbox controller, and this is even having turned off the Bluetooth in My Windows 11.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

You need software to combine the input devices to be seen as one device by Titanfall 2.

Last time I tried this was with Boundary, using Joy2Key to send keyboard commands from a Thrustmaster HOTAS. It's much harder to try to get the a combination to appear as a single controller. It depends a lot on how the game processes the dual types of inputs.

If remapping doesn't work, you could probably use an Arduino/RPi to capture and modify the input devices but at this point why not just make the controller from scratch.

Similar issue for example trying to combine trackball with controller:

Oh wow, Thank you so much for your input. I'm not sure I will be able to create a controller from scratch, at least for now. But I'll definitely give it a go using https://joytokey.net mapping software and then, get back to you. ✌️

Remapping with JoyToKey worked perfectly, I can even use a combination of keys to use as an extra button in case there are more actions than buttons or use a single button to do combos. The downside is that I can't do something like walking slowly and fast, depending on how far the joystick is away from the centre, as it only triggers the A, D, W & S as left, right, up & down. Of course, as a roundaround for that issue, I could use a key combination to do such a thing.

In any case, it works as intended, so that's great. Thank you. 👍
