for the v upgrades try v1 arc rounds v2 maelstrom v3 xo-16 to start with.
the key for using a monarch is executing titans to steal batteries (give arc and nuke titans a miss) for health and topping up your shields with the energy siphon and when you v upgrade or drop smoke.
hope that helps to get you going
2.New batteries charge shield and upgrade
3.Same as answer 2, repairs, shields, and upgrade are all affected.
4. All it does is refresh your shields.
5.It is based on if you hold the button to fire the energy steal or not. If you press it, instant use. if you hold it, it charges.
6.I think this has something to do with Tone? Tone can get missile locks with primary so I think that's what that means.
Also in frontier defense monarchs gun has a damage penalty and is generally considered the weakest titan option. Still if your doing it you likely still want to go arc +malestorm+accelrator and prob battery thief (in lts you usually want to run turbo+rapid and drop malestorm for rapid rearm).
As you level her up you can start thinking about being a bit more offensive but your priority should be supportive e.g. help with shield types, whilst keeping your titan alive so you can enjoy core upgrades during each wave, so you can get a good feel for how these work along with her shield skills.
