Titanfall 2 won't launch

Just bought this on Steam for 2.99. Love the game on my PS4, so thought it would be nice to play on my PC. Installed it, but it doesn't launch. When I click Play it pulls up a new little window saying Preparing game... and a orange bar moves back and forth. Then that little window closes and nothing happens. I found many people saying how to fix this, but none of their fixes work. One says to change Steam to run in administrator mode, compatibly mode Windows 8. But that does nothing. And I don't like changing how Steam launches since it works perfectly fine for every other game I have.

Another says to change the launch options to point to the actual Titanfall2.exe but that doesn't seem to be an option in Steam. It will let me add Launch options under General in Properties, but I can't change to what Steam launches. Also it said to try running the Titanfall2.exe straight from Windows, but that does nothing either.

I am using Windows 11. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I would like to play this game.

This happened to me yesterday and still happens. Even after 2 full reinstalls of the game and EA app. I searched through everywhere for solutions, but for some reason no one else incountered such an issue.

same here. no error...just ea client launching and showing up for a second then ... nothing.

same here but spaming the steam play button sort of works after a while with a 50% chance of the steam overlay working

I join you guys, I still have the same symptoms, although I played a couple of months ago. Doesn't work on Steamdeck either.

Its the reliance of the online DRM with the EA app.

Picked this game up for less then a burger and still requested a refund because of the reliance of the EA app

i have managed to accumulate 8 minutes play time without actually seeing anything game related.
as soon as i launch it pops up about it being corrupted and to reinstall.
reinstalled 3 times. tried all fixed on reddit/steam etc and still no luck.
only £2 but its so annoying.
going to refund i think.

Please start the EA App manually and update it. Then the game should start.

it works for a minute longer if i use RUSSIAN language ONLY.
then it kicks me off with a different error.
