Why isn't this game free yet?

battlefront 2 went free just recently.

It is time to take the damned price tag off this game and let it run wild.

Whoever bought this game and owns the rights to it, stop being a coward and release it for free. I want to play, but I won't spend a cent on it. Why can't people accept this is the current state of the world?

you can totally profit from giving the game away, it's like using defib pads on someone who is freshly dead. there is still hope.

Each time there are sales on steam the game it's 5 dollars, on other sites it can be acquired by 3 dollars, but doesn't change the fact that's 3 to 5 dollars, 10 at best if on steam and it's not important sales

Other sites can't be trusted though and shouldn't count.

Whever they should count or not it's not the problem, the fact the game is super cheap in sales still remains, let's not change the topic here, these guys complain cuz they want free stuff.

This ♥♥♥♥ has been in contention since Jan 17, about something that is extremely unlikely to happen. Instead lets all raid EA Help on twitter about how Titanfall 1 is a broken scam right now

This game isn't dead??? It's actually inclining more and more. Late 2020, there were up to 1.8k players on, now there's up to 2.5k and that's doubled or tripled during a sale. A dead is under 1k players and declining. I can find a match in seconds.

I 100% agree about the hackers. Luckily I've never encountered one before. Nothing wrong with noobs though

1: It's literally 10 dollars right now, that's nothing.

2: Titanfall 2 is an absolute masterpiece but never got the sales it should have because of its unfortunate release time, it wasn't a big success for them and they need to keep getting profits.

3: Noobs and hackers ruin games just like Titanfall 1 was ruined by a single hacker that took down all servers. They're still down to this day because EA won't do crap. TF1 might not be free, but it was low enough price that it may as well have been.

You need to understand this is one of the few games from EA that aren't a money dump with microtransactions, it's surprising quality from such a crappy company and we should be supporting it to its end.

beyond the few cosmetic DLC skins, you don't have to pay a penny for any classes, guns, or titans. F2P games typically have lots of microtransactions to compensate for the lack of profit that'll be made from sales alone, but Titanfall hardly has any of those. Making the game free would just mean the game makes even less money, and it would invite plenty of cheaters and hackers aboard.

On june 30th, 2020:
---battlefront 2 had only 3700 concurrent players
---Titanfall had 10,900

On Nov 18, 2020:
---Battlefront is down to 1200 players.
---Titanfall is down to 955

Battlefront 2, now, after going free, has 6 thousand concurrent players.

Titanfall 2: 1700.....

this game (titanfall 2) is toast and needs a boost of players. making money or no, if humans aren't playing your multiplayer game, it doesn't really exist and there is ZERO (0) chance of making money.

February 23 2021, it's up to 3500-5000 players a day. I should know since I was just online an hour ago, this game is not dead. Stop spreading insolent rumors to make controversy
