Game is too hard to get into as a new player.
Playing against veterans every match is no fun, i feel like theres no point in learning the game, it seems like people use the same weapons, alternator, flatline, car, spitfire, it feels like theres no point in using any other weapons it will just result in you losing every gun fight, i keep trying to get into this game but alas its just too sweaty, also the hit reg is horrendous i will put so many bullets into someone and get feedback such as blood splats or sparks and I'll deal no damage, I just found out the game ran on 20 tickrate servers which explains a lot.

Look, I suck at the game. but some rounds I really fly. Just enjoy it for the blast that bit is. Everyone is really chill in the community and it's worth it.:steamhappy:
Given that the game has been out for nearly a decade now, this is pretty much unavoidable. The meta is set in stone, and veterans often have hundreds or thousands of hours of experience. The massive skillcap is why Apex Legends ditched both Titans and wall-running.

Unfortunately, you're just going to have to either grin and bear it, or wait for Titanfall 3.

First you need to learn the basics of the game. Only then will you have a chance to fight back.

The ground is cringe. Hip-fire is sexy. The Smart Pistol is better when you don't use its smart features. Bully Ronin mains. Deny Monarchs their executions.

Then you can start fighting back. Earn credits, buy the weapons you need so you can Regenerate without losing your loadout.

Find the gear you enjoy the most. Find at least one Titan you're confortable with. Then you will be fighting back.

It's what I did, it's what I do, 250 hours in, starting in 2023. Do I win every gunfight? No. Do I never lose my Scorch in less than 20 seconds to a core'd up Ion? No.

Am I fighting back? Hell yeah. You can't win every game but you sure can put up one hell of a fight.

Can't say I relate to this despite playing consistently on 80ms of ping.

Make sure the Data Center the game connects you to makes sense, before matchmaking. There's a bug where Singapore is chosen despite the fact that it's nowhere near you and it throws you in South-East Asia with 300+ms of ping. You'll find this option on the bottom left of your main menu.

i agree. no reason to get into the game if u arent already.
Today, I played my first match of Frontier Defence, the horde mode, and its definitely where I would recommend going if you've been getting your butt kicked in multiplayer.

Just try to keep moving as much as possible and you'll find yourself performing better.

There are "best" weapons people use, but any weapon will kill in a matter of seconds so I would just use what feels the best.

I'd say I'm pretty ♥♥♥♥ at the game, but just being able to keep moving and aiming in the general direction of enemies is enough to get decent results.

Played about 10 hours of MP so far and i don't find it that bad really, you just have to keep moving and utilizing the different mechanics even if you aren't great at them

tbh I ain't reading all this but tbh if I started in 2021 and got as good as I am now and didn't quit then I'd say it's not hard to get into. Just look stuff up on youtube or get good lol, you don't have to be a god at movement to be good at this game (although it helps) so besides that it's a pretty normal shooter. Just get good

its not hard at all, im playing this game since 2019, and over time u will get better if u want to try, play frontier defense its good way to start with multiplayer

Frontier Defense is 10 times more fun then PVP in this game especially if you prefer titans over pilots since you will spend much much more time with Titan in FD then with pilot.
Unless yo have some strange fetish to be the be better then others i dont see ant reason to play PVP.
I think i spent maybe 3 hours in PVP and it was soooo boring, it will maybe be different for you, i just stating my experience with PVP and PVE.
Ofc it maybe also have something to do with the fact that i prefer playing with others then against others, i like coop much more then PVP since i dont care about being the best, i just play to have fun.

I started playing november this year and I personally found it not that hard to get into, but totally worth it when you do. This game is so good.

I also don't think everyone in matches are necessarily veterans either, there is still some variance in skill levels every game.

wahhh wahhh game has a skill curve. tried playing the campaign? it teaches you most of the basics you'll need for multiplayer and from there you can still improve by showing even the smallest amount of dedication instead of whining and expecting wins on a silver platter
Missingerror Jan 6, 2024 @ 2:55pm
that is what the single player campaign is for. it is a fun and good way of teaching the players how to play.
Eclipse Jan 7, 2024 @ 2:54pm
honestly i like it when there is people who go hard on you, it helps me learn faster, if you complain about how hard it is then that is your fault just stop playing games like titan fall and play minecraft
MaxDucks Jan 10, 2024 @ 1:59pm
The singleplayer campaign will teach you the fundamentals. After that, it's just a big ol learning curve. And that curve is overcome by experience. Try doing Frontier Defense first for multiplayer. Get a feel for learning your titans. Try out new weapons on the grunts. And then go get your ♥♥♥♥ rocked in Attrition. And you will. It happened to me when I started. But you will eventually see the maps differently. You'll see movement options, places of frequent combat, ways to get the drop on pilots. Just keep at it, rifleman. You'll be a pilot soon, you'll see.
