multiplayer works now, why is nobody playing?

like, whats wrong with multiplayer, just tested it now and nobody asides me is playing

seems like i put faith in multiplayer matchmaking, put me back to the main menu since i spent too long match making

apparently there is a bug that makes people disconnect before matching, I recently installed a mod that remedies that and i do get games occasionally. that said most of the community has moved to the Northstar client, if you want to find games you should probably get that

I don't think most of the community has moved to Northstar Client.

Northstar Client player count as of right now : 424

Actual Titanfall 2 player count as of right now : 2590

Although I will say over the past few days the actual Titanfall 2 player count has gone down somewhat dramatically, as it would be around 4000 - 5000 around this time just a few days ago. I think that's just from the fact that the game isn't on sale anymore though.

Oh yeah and the player count of EU servers (so just 1 matchmaking region) on actual Titanfall 2 is 583 right now.

Although to add on to this : Just around a year ago actual Titanfall 2 averaged a player count that was more than 15x - 20x that of Northstar Client, where now it's more like 5x the player count. I again believe this is due to the sale boosting the player count, along with major improvements that Northstar has had since a year ago, when hackers basically had free reign on the client and could do whatever they wanted, including impersonate anyone and get anyone they wanted banned from servers that banned people. Although a lot of the same issues that existed in Northstar back then still exist today, they aren't related to hackers or exploits (at least to my knowledge).

Doesn't tf|2 matchmake players based on their given datacenter, as opposed to all datacenters in a given region?

I can't even get the game to launch with the default program. I've tried installing to different drives, deleting any appdata, installing directly through EA, the only way I can get the game to run at all is by booting it through Northstar which I didn't want to do since the default servers seem to be up and running again.

Northstar always has a lower player count then the main severs. Northstar is meant for alternative gamemodes. Such as gun game, fast ball, infect, and many more.

How do you even play vanilla Multiplayer? my game cant find connection with any servers.

Northstar works for me, but i want play vanilla without any mods.

I use automatchmaking mod ( you could search that here in the Game Mods / Steam )
Download it and unpack it in the main TF2 server where Launchers are.
The use that to play the game, it's a full tutorial on how to.....
It will open the game via a Console much Like Northstar , but you will play vanilla servers instead.

i recently figured out that mod and its super useful, they event added an optional mod to see the regional player count which is super useful. I check to see if vanilla is active and if not i launch northstar

if you are using the latest intel cpu (newer then the 10th generation), you may need to change some settings of your windows os.

This shi* does not work lol, 5k-10k people playing yet waiting 15 minutes to get into a match IF it doesnt disconnect me while searching. Spent almost a half hour waiting in queue, busted as fuc*

well its 5k people globally, im pretty sure you can't realistically connect with someone across the globe. i dont think it connects with people in other datacenters either.
that said i feel like those numbers arent all real people, when i used the RPC mod it usually tells me there is like 20-40 players at night and about 200-300 during the daytime.

Doesn't seem to work for me I'm constantly stuck in the "connecting to respawn servers " thing. If it worked I'd be more than happy to play.
