How to play multiplayer in 2023

Hello all new players coming in from the $3 sale!

I'm sure a lot of you are struggling to find a functional multiplayer game at the moment to unfortunate technical issues/DDoS attacks from cheaters.

There is a solution!

Simply download the northstar client from https://northstar.tf/

I personally recommend the viper client as it's super straight-forward, enables auto-updates for northstar and also has a built-in mod browser for additional content.

Once installed, you'll be able to access the single player campaign, a server browser for multiplayer lobbies and a server hosting function which you can use for either PvP or PvE games.

I would also like to mention that northstar has a bunch of 'new' content which isn't available in the base game such as modes like 'gun game', 'hardball' or 'infection' among many others.

Plus, it actually gets new content unlike base-game TF|2, so that's always a positive.

This game way more fun than it should be and more people need to experience it at its best (in a functional state and with other people), so I hope we'll see you all on the frontier soon, pilots.

oh yeah, forgot to mention that if you have origin installed and you're logged into it, launching titanfall through northstar skips origin launching everytime you play

multiplayer was working fine for me so i had no intention of getting it but after seeing you comment this i have changed my mind
