Multiplayer does not work

Supposidly the game has been Ddossed into oblivion. To play multiplayer you need to use the North star client which are player owned servers https://northstar.tf/

There's a mod to fix the "connection to server timed out", it's a normal issue that happens when matchmaking, but you can automate the problem using the Auto Matchmaking Mod, you can find it here : https://github.com/TimeIsUnending/TF2-Auto-Matchmaking-Mod

Im asking myself the same thing, lots of people online but the matchmaking its kind of weird. Sometimes lota of waiting and mostly comnection error. But when i get into the match its great. I dont onow whats going on on the game but fix this the game and campaign its awsome😁

Multiplayer works if you download the North Star Client. The client has active modders as well and best of all no crashes, just a simple google search away.

So 10th and 11th gen Intel chips need "environmental variable" to be added. Yes, you can't connect to servers because game has some issues with new processors. Here's the solution: Press Win + E or open File Explorer, right-click on “This PC,” and choose “Properties. Click on “Advanced System Settings.” Under the Advanced tab, choose “Environment Variables.” Under “System variables,” click on “New.” In the “Variable name” box, type this: OPENSSL_ia32cap In the “Variable value” box, type this: ~0x200000200000000 Then click on “OK.” Confirm the addition of the variable to the “System variables” list and choose “OK.”

This fixes finding the datacenters not for getting into the multiplayer. there is a time window, between early morning and early afternoon EU time (6am - 3pm GMT) the servers work fine, you might get disconnected here or there but getting into games works perfectly, matches are stable, after 3pm GMT, it goes to ♥♥♥♥. Constant disconnects, waiting forever to connect to the multiplayer, servers dying.

And yes, while Northstar is around, it's not "The way to go" by any means. if you want to play Vanilla gamemodes, good luck getting into a server. the Vanilla servers get filled quickly and people want to play Titanfall 2 not Gmod Titanfall with wacky server mods or Kraber only. Titanfall 2 had 13k-16k people on yesterday and Northstar has barely upwards of 100.. numbers speak for themselves really.

You effectively cant due to vanilla server instability. It's quite easy to install, just drag and drop northstar files into your Titanfall folder.

Matchmaking is working fine for the most part on US servers right now. EU is good too at active hours. However you might wanna get the Auto Matchmaking Mod, it's a fix for the problem that still occasionally happens where you get disconnected while matchmaking. Right now I'm working on a way to make it more user-friendly blah blah I'm sure you guys are smart enough to click the link to the guide abt it, or the GitHub page on the guide.

This does not work on Windows 11 with a gen 14 processor. Any update for Win 11 & gen 14????
