Can't Set Resolution Higher than 1080p

I'm running a 1440p monitor off my laptop, using it at the primary display. But for some reason the game won't let me set the resolution higher than 1080p, in either in windowed or full-screen. Has anyone else encountered this problem before? This is the only game I've had this problem with.

I had this problem on another game a couple of years back, When I contacted the game makers they said, Trying to set the resolution any higher would cause other setting to crash because of the settings my system could handle. I don't know if it helps but it may be worth contacting the makers and asking their advice.

I actually found a fix, forgot to update. All I had to do was close my laptop lid so I didn't have the laptop screen running at 1080p while the game is running on my main display. Funny that I have this problem when Apex runs completely fine.

go into documents>respawn>Titanfall2>local>videoconfig.txt
change the resolution to
setting.defaultres" "1920"
setting.defaultresheight" "1080"

should work then.
