Honestly I dont view this game as competitive and if you struggle use the car smg this isnt warzone just have fun. Steam rolls do happen to me a lot and they ♥♥♥♥ when you are on that team getting mobbed by 6 enemy titans but you have to accept it and not take it to heart when you are getting completely destroyed.
Please, I play on Xbox TF2 and on there is 10x more toxic than on PC. Every match is 4-5 spitfire/G2 campers or Titan stacks, on top of a couple obnoxious sweaties with hover and R-101/CAR ruining my G100 Kraber run. It's a blessing that there are actual good players with some variety on PC but that's not my point. The point is that even though people are abhorrent to play against, there is still a high playerbase of 6600+ a day. Because this game is so good, people will keep coming back to it albeit its toxicity and PC is no expection. I get that you've had a couple bad experiences playing this game, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying it. Just keep on playing, you'll get better as you go along and stomp those trolls!
Nonsense? How is something that I experienced directly nonsense? What would be the point of me lying in this circumstance?
You still dodn't explain what kind of toxicity you came across in this game. Neither Quality, nor quantity.
I would say that being told to uninstall the game and to go hang myself is the toxicity I was talking about. But no I guess that's nonsense
Like many people wrote already, the chat stays completely silent most of the time.
I say nothing in voice or text chat, I agree its not every match but its happened more than enough to consider it an issue to me. I'm glad other people have had a better time, I was just reporting on the issues I was having and hoping to make it known in the community. I don't play games to be berated. I get that its a part of gaming (which is sad to me) but that doesn't mean I won't try and being attention to it.
The op never gave any particular details about the quality or quantity of the toxicity he faced he just threw aroud empty accusations. How does that help? How is that "the good fight"?
As multiple people have already pointed out, the chat stays pretty much silent in most matches. You always have a few toxic people in every game, because... well. That's gaming. It attracts lots of asocial people. But joining a game like this and complaining about the toxicity is ridiculous. If you want to raise awareness about the problem (Yes, it's a general problem!), do it where you really find lots of toxicity.
If the OP is mentally broken after his experiences here already, he'd probably need medical care after joining an even moderately toxic playerbase.
And yes, in lots of cases the people who are complaining are just calling for it. Given his accusations, the chance of that being the case was/is quite high.
Next time i'll be sure to include a bibliography. What was the problem with me bringing it up as it relates to TF2? Just because a problem doesn't effect everyone doesn't mean it suddenly goes away. It is still a problem even if its just for one person, which it clearly is not. More than likely the toxic players cause issues in other, bigger games. As you said its a general problem in gaming, I was just wanting to make it known to the community of TF2 and try and encourage some possibility for once. But I guess even the best of intentions are seen as "nonsense" or "lying".
Like I wrote already - if you want to make a statement about toxicity, do it where it matters, where toxicity is really a problem.
Your good intentions are worthless if you spread misinformation and non-arguments.
And as I already wrote- this was my PERSONAL experience, something that happened to me is not misinformation. Where it matters is where it happens. It may not happen every time but it still does happen. If you let toxicity happen at all in any circumstance the higher chance it'll just spread to more games. I honestly don't understand why we are arguing about this sort of thing. If I said "EVERYONE IS TOXIC IN TITANFALL", then I could see an issue. I don't see any misinformation in my post. Now I could have worded a couple things better yes but I don't feel like if someone read this they would automatically assume that the entirety of TF2 is toxic/hateful/whatever you want to call it.
That's not just a personal statement about your experience, that's a generalized claim or projection without any basis.
