Like seriously! This is not a F2P type game.
I do think its fair to say that you are the one that doesn't exactly understand how any of this works. If something still has value, it's gonna be marketed with that value in mind. Be it's retail price or a sale sometime after.
No, jumping up and down and shouting, "gimme gimme gimme" isn't an actual argument.

I'm not saying this is or should be a f2p game.
But old games sometimes just go bloody free these days. Even though they are theoretically worth something, smart people have figured out that you can actually benefit more from massively distributing it. You explode your userbase, rather than continuing to sell a mostly dead product for peanuts.
once the motivation to pay for the product evaporates, giving it away is a valid advertising strategy.
And it should be used here, because I'll spend $1 on this game over my dead body, but... it looks kind of interesting maybe for a few hours or something. But they're not getting a bloody cent from me. They just aren't. and people like me are legion.
