Game crashes when I click video settings.

I looked around and found some things that it told me to do. But when I tried them they still didn't do anything sadly.

Any ideas? I click edit/video and it crashes to desktop.

PCGW has your problem listed as fixed with some steps on how to do it.

otherwise, you can look around for how to fiddle with Source Engine settings without using the ingame interface. it's a bit of a work around, but as long as you remember not to enter the video settings mid-session, it should work for you.
