multiplayer locked/no data centers
I tried putting up on the EA help site, but I've gotten no response so far. I don't know if someone here would have the answer, but I might as well try...

So, my multiplayer is still locked after playing the single player campaign. (I bought the game for PC through Steam) I've tried:
- opening the game through steam, and opening the game through origin directly
- waiting 20 min (no data centers appear and the pop-up stays on "contacting respawn servers")
- using the connection troubleshooting guide from other EA help guides/discussions
- restarting my computer, origin, the game, steam
- redownloading the game
- disabling all unused network adapters (including the hidden ones)
- clearing cache
- making sure firewall isn't blocking origin
- verifying the integrity of the game files through steam/using the "repair" option through origin

I have fairly stable wifi and i don't live on the fringes of society and I don't know what's wrong. Help, please?

I found a solution for myself to fix this problem and it is to add a environment variable, it's related to openssl so some other games also needs this fix. Don't forget to restart OS.

Hey, have somebody solved? I'm experiencing the same issue, and I've done exactly the same things you listed

we can just hope in a miracle of the Lord now
great campaign though
usually it means that ea is doing something with their servers as a whole and it resolves within 12-24 hours.

Turns out it's a bug with openssl. There's a workaround that I posted.
