Game keeps booting in windowed mode

All things considered it's not a huge issue, I can just go into settings and put it back into fullscreen, but it's annoying nonetheless. Any ideas as to what's causing this and maybe a way to fix it?

right click game .exe -> properties -> disable fullscreen optimization

When you start the game and then click on another window (like on your browser or something) it causes the game to launch in windowed mode, but as soon as the initial black screen shows up you should be good to focus on another window.

no it physicly starts windowed

maybe use linux instead?
