At no point in any discussion have I said i will never own it.
I said, there's not a chance in hell of me buying this on release.
I own both their previous attempts and enjoy them to a degree.
As i said before, we know they have the talent to get it right, they just been choosing to cash grab instead.

I guess the part where you say you wont buy it at release don't count eh? There is no cash grab man. Lot's of gaming companies make new games. How do you think they stay in business? As I said, you don't want the game then why be on here yappin yer piehole? People have trashed this company for a long time over the fishing games. I own em, I Saw no horrible issues with either game. Are there things I Would like to see different? Sure. But I am not gonna raise the roof and act like a child to get my point across.

Folks with his approach to quality are the reason why AAA/Indie scene is such a low tier lazy mess right now.
And its not gonna get better, most folks dont even know how games were in the "good ol days" and think this is the standard.

Exactly. Between Early Access, DLC's and in game purchases it's gotten stupid.
People have gotten so used to being treated like it that they see it as normal and acceptable.
I remember chuckie egg for amstrad CPC 464. £2.99 for the cassette. I couldn't hazard a guess as to how many hours i put into that. It was amazing. Nothing to do with graphics, it was great entertaining game-play and i still play it on and off now. I suck now though :P

I have been playing games since the early 80's. So far, all I have seen is whining over nothing. Now, if the game was horrible, which it is not. I could understand the ire. The fishing games , to me, have been fun to play. I have enjoyed them. I guess what you are failing to see is, not everyone hates the games. It seems to be a small minority who just like to gripe. As for the good ole days comment? Back then you got what you got, bugs and all. There were no "patches" You played with the bugs. Of course most games were pretty darn bug free fore the most part. Dovetail has been updating and patching the game since it released, so I don't understand your complaining.
It honestly seems that most of the biggest whiners are brits. Which seems par for the course. Why are you all so grumpy all the time? Again, I will say this and hopefully you get it this time. This includes you too Thorn. If you do not like the game coming out, get off the forum and stop posting on something you do not plan to buy. It is a stupid waste of your time and everyone who could care less about your opinion on something you wont even own! Move on! I am done replying. It is, and was, pointless. Toxic people will stay toxic, because you have nothing better to do than to try and make others lives miserable. My time is better spent doing something worthwhile. Tomorrow the 30th, I will own the new fishing game and will hopefully enjoy it like I have the last one. Taa taa ole chaps, ( I guess that is what you brits say?) I will let you get back to your crying like spoiled little brats :)

just watched someone steam this its the same game as the others nothing new same bad fishing mechanics they change the menus and the ui thats it

We tried reaching out to the dev but they have not responded to our questions on their previous games. :( Just compare it with FWS their last game and see if there anything differenent or not? Their biggest mistake is leaving fans out of the development process. Electronic Arts did this to their sim and fans are very unhappy with it. Please dove tail do not ignore us!

I wish the dev of dove tail would listen more and build a fishing game that fans want to see then just the same game every few years with only a few modification.

There were all ears open during Dove tail but it all changed later on and they decided to do eveything close in house and they decided what is exciting and what is not. And still do not have a game that really potrays what fishing should be.

It should never be about catching carp again or fighting monsters cause the AI is not there yet. If they listen they will get more positive feedback from everyone.

We have taken on board fan feedback from our previous titles and have concentrated on the non-bass side of fishing to be able to deliver a focused carp & coarse experience. We are aiming to improve the overall gameplay and bring in new features like advanced water mechanics, dropshotting, vastly improved float fishing and much more. If you been listening you will know early access is what fans want and getting fans feedback on what fishing game they want to play will be your passion.

I remain very skeptical of your ideas cause your not willing to engage with us on issues that has been here since dove tail.

Please do not become like Electronics arts where it just all profit and just what ever they want instead of the fans.

Phoenix I think you should look at Ultimate fishing sim 2! Underwater eocsystem and the fish grows! Pour your ideas into those game that will deliver as you already know DTG has just DONE it again with a new game for new players. :(

I am heartbroken and they should look at electronic arts and see how angry angry fans are with their high prices and lack of content and lack of hearing what player are saying for years..

There is another ecosystem game that needs your ideas and the dev are willing to listen!
