Beat the Rabbit?

Maybe I don't understand something, but how should I win this battle?
He kills me with 3 shots, and I make almost no damage to him.
There are balloons, but it seems the rabbit ignores them.
Please help.

You have to stunlock him in the right corner while using your three-hit heavy combo. And just hope that he doesn't kill you first. Bring some health items. It's a very poorly-designed boss fight.
