JA 2 SLow Motion (need help) :)

Well here's what happens. I installed JA 2 on windows 10 inevitably ran into black screen problem consequently renamed intro and was able to launch the game.
Game ran smoothly or so I thought until I watched a video on youtube where I noticed that the speed of combat was much quicker .
The game runs ok I mean when Im in inventory mode everything is ok. But on the tactical screen if I press run characters move slowly and gun shots fly very slowly too. The weird thing is if I attack my own crew or civilians the game runs as it should I mean everything happens very fast .
I play vanilla version of Gold Edition and don't want to install no modes so is there any fix for 1.12 ?

try to run the exe as administrator. that fixed the problem for me

i am having the same problem. I tried running it as administrator and saw no improvement. Merc lighting is turned off as well.

I am running a fairly decent laptop: intel i7 8565u, 12gb ram, geforce mx250.

should not have problems running this game.

I am starting to read a bit more about the stracciatella mod - which is supposed to make it run smoother as well as fix some bugs. Although I am unsure if it is compatible with the steam version of JA2

Yeah man this game suppose to run on a very low end computers. I got a decent build myself and still the game isn't smooth. Administrator solution isn't working for me either. I want the vanilla experience purely. But apparently Stratiatella is a way to go even though I don't want to change the vanilla game. Also if you are having graphical issue like screen flicker vertical sync fixes it.

I haven't installed the mod yet still trying to find a solution to run the game unmodded .

Installed the mod Stracciatella from their page followed all instructions the game runs but in tiny resolution which >I'm unable to change . I mean there are windows to put custom resolution but the mod simply don't respond to no changes - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod by f@#king amateurs. Yeah also the explanation on mod was compiled by some moron - no wonder the mod is a pile of not working trash.
