Boris and the Dark Survival

Boris and the Dark Survival

My theory about this game (Spoilers ahead)
The game is simple enough we play as a Boris clone (one who probably had built the safe house within the studio), Boris has to survive by getting supplies and avoiding Inky Bendy. And while doing that, Boris will randomly find scraps, 7 of them, to make the weird post on a wall of the safe house of the mismatched character from varies parts of other toons it seems. And when all those are collected, Boris can view it upon telling us that he got a glimpse of the man he used to be. Before it's gone suddenly. THE END.

My theory is that is the original Boris clone that came out looking normal, not deformed at all. So that along with the rest of the toon succeeds made Joey very happy! Though he had to keep the toons a secret for the longest time, probably afraid other companies might try to make their own creations into living creatures, which would rip off Joey's big idea of being the FIRST MAN TO DO THAT. So no workers could know about the toons, but they could hear odd noises at night before they would leave the building, yet to freaked out to go exploring for whatever was groaning in the darkness. And come on, daily us humans make a load of different noises, so the toons could have been groans from annoyance they were locked up and couldn't met anyone else but Joey. Or the groaning Norman had mentioned was from searchers that were mistakes that were made. Probably searchers in the studio's good days were the things that would sometimes clog the ink machine until it could release the blobs. And we all know that Boris doesn't talk very much, so far he only said "Boo" when he scared Bendy in an episode to steal Bendy's candy. Don't worry, I'm getting to the theory now. I'm guessing that Joey didn't want to lose his voice actors/actresses to other companies. He could try to trap them in a contract that they can't do their toon voices for anyone else by Joey Drew Studios, yet it's possible the mad man didn't think that logically when he was panicked. So instead of being logical, he probably had kidnapped the poor man that voiced Boris and somehow forced ink on him or a Boris clone so the two would fuse together and become ONE. And in the process the former voice actor had lost so many of his memories and life to the ink, that he forgotten who he was. He just had to be forced to live as Boris, who was the first perfect one in a bad batch. He lost the ability to speak due to his vocal chords probably drowned in the ink taking over his body. He doesn't stress about being a different creature than he was before cause he couldn't remember at all. And whenever the studio went down hill, the toons gained their freedom from being contained only to find people were getting turned into ink creatures or had escaped the studio to let it rot. Boris being free, and had probably witnessed Alice/Susie Angel & Inky Bendy going insane he got afraid of them and found somewhere he could settle. So he had build a safe house for himself, being smart he used the Miracle Booths to hide from the monsters stalking him. And he wasn't even aware that he could gather a glimpse of his past human self. And when that day finally came to him, it was a shock when he registered it, then he probably denied it. He probably thought it was too insane, since he woken up as Boris, he only knew he was BORIS. He couldn't be someone else, that's crazy. He likely valued his sanity very much cause he didn't want to become a monster like his former friends had. Time continued on and he thought he was doing well, until Susie Angel found him. She got him strapped down and butchered him for his inners. He had died by her hands, and was left on display for all to see Susie's probably first kill of a toon. She didn't bother hiding his corpse at all cause it was a statement that she was powerful and should be feared as much if not more than the Ink Demon. And any Boris clone since then who had lived in the same safe house probably did that cause it was familiar to each one, probably sharing vague memories of past lives. They all knew it was safe there, and got smarter about avoiding Susie Angel & Ink Demon especially after discovering the butchered Boris on display. All the clones never got triggered by seeing the odd figure posted in the safe house cause that memory just got too fade to remember why it's even up in the first place. And it's like the game doesn't truly end because Boris had survive ever since the studio went out of business and ink creatures took over it. He goes on with his life, collecting supplies, songs, listening to tapes around the place, cause that's all he CAN do and also avoiding danger. He does what he can to survive peacefully, probably cause he's not a violent toon so its just natural for him to be kind and not violent. Who knows how he didn't get corrupted and turned into monsters like his friends had. But there's no way to save them it seems. And his life only changed from its norm, when Henry entered the studio, taking the poor wolf with him on a looped adventure which would always lead to Boris's death. It's not what people want in the games, yet maybe it's for the best to protect sweet Boris from being an insane monster who wants to kill living things.

I'm guessing the clones can share memories between each other cause of how Boris had shared so hard at a corpse of himself in Susie's liar. He was staring at it so hard, no breaking his eye contact with it, unless Henry got in certain spots that would make his wolf friend stare at him. That since he's made of ink, he can see the corpses of himself, and probably retrieve any memories that are still within the corpse. Maybe like transferring from a dead hard drive to a live hard drive. I mean, we had to leave Boris to stare at all that death for several minutes. So in his shock after we left he could have done some ink gesture towards the corpse and sucked out any lasting memories he could to so he could have more information from past clones of himself. Even though the information might not help him in any way, it probably something else to think about then constantly thinking about living in an inky prison with Hell monsters stalking him, wanting him dead cause they are insane.

Also the theory that original Boris was Boris's voice actor was inspired by something I heard that Disney did in the past. In the past, when the animated Snow White was being casted, the voice actress for her had such a unique voice that she got trapped in a contract by Disney that she wasn't allowed to voice act in anything else. I think in a way Disney company wanted to own her voice so she couldn't use it for any other company ever. And this game is more fantasy and Joey had gone nuts, so I wouldn't put it pass Joey for jumping to using ink to chain voice actors and actresses to the studio's grounds forever so their talent couldn't be used anywhere else ever again. And who knows, it possibly happened to Susie, since she went from a regular woman to an insane half deformed Alice Angel. Susie couldn't work being poorly fused with an Alice clone & others would question her new appearance, so she had to get replaced by Allison possibly.

DISCLAIMER: I have not read the Batim books that had come out, so all my theories are from my head, from the knowledge I gotten from the games. Remember to be kind and respectful to everyone who replies to this discussion please.

Sorry it's so long. I hope I explained it well. I'm more than happy to discuss my view on it. Making and discussing theories are fun :D Let's just try to be kind and respectful to everyone who replies :D

This is a good theory. However, since you didn't read the Bendy book Dream Come To Life, there is a lot of things that could be debunked here. For example, the secret ending in BATDS explains howBuddy, the main character in the book, heard the Ink Demon moaning within the Infirmary, opened the door, and released the Ink Demon. Later, he hunts it down with Dot, another main character. He finds the Ink Demon, chops off his arm, and Bendy leaves. However, before Bendy sinks through the ink, he grabs Buddy, rips Buddy in half, and drowns him in ink. He later awakes to see that he became Boris, who is theorized to be the Boris we see in the game, both games. However, Buddy couldn't talk, so he squeezes Joey Drew's arm, and runs.Buddy and Boris had two different personalities and he addresses this in the book. He builds the safehouse, and hides there. The secret ending involving the scraps shows how Buddy saw his former self, a human, then his human personality immediately disappears, and doesn't remember any of it.

Very interesting. I have the Employee Handbook, yet never read it. Cause I don't want to ruin it's paper back which would keep it open forever. I hate paperbacks. :p But it was a gift, so I couldn't complain about it. I wanna read the batim books so badly but can't get them digitally so far. Thank you for being kind and that book sounds intense! I hope I'll get a digital copy to read it some day :3 Sorry that I was wrong, but it was only a theory. Theories can't always be right.

Thanks for kindly explaining to me why I was wrong :D And don't worry I didn't mind the spoilers at all XD Most likely by the time I'll be able to read the book digitally I would have forgotten the spoilers. Paperbacks are annoying how you crease them open they won't ever close again. So annoying. Tense reads are great :D Theories can be fun even if they are wrong :D
