However, Hellbound & Debriefed is the first game, so it lacks quite a few QoL improvements as compared to the second (Undead & Undressed). And in terms of graphics, Hellbound & Debriefed was originally a PSP game, so the remastered graphics looks like a PS Vita game at best.
Personally, I feel that if you played Undead & Undressed first, you will find Hellbound & Debriefed much more difficult to play. So you might want to play this first, then enjoy the improvements they made in the second game (Undead & Undressed).
I agree, but less for gameplay reasons and more for the story. I believe the story of this game is better than the second one for many reasons, and pulls a lot less punches than the second one. Hopefully this will show when the game itself is released. I'm dying to play this version already instead of having to rely on a LP archive translation.
I mention this mostly because I can tell you that if U&U didn't have the fan service, there'd really not be all that much going for it as almost everything else about the game was bad. Aside from the VO work. It was a rare case of a fan service game actually getting some relatively well known English voice talent.
I'll prolly have to compare it to the original PLUS version since it takes a whole lot from there.
That being said, I heard(and in my own opinion having read a rough translation of the Rui Route) that the story is a bit more emotionally impactful and taken a bit more seriously than U&U. It takes the stripping mechanic more seriously(in terms of the story) and pulls less punches(like I said in my earlier post). That being said, I think this one is getting a bunch of well known English VAs too, a bunch of them having worked on Persona 5 in the past(from what I've heard from the trailers, I don't know who is who but I did notice Sejima's VA is the same as Sojirou's)
