Requirements unclear for achievements
I like to try to get many achievements in most games i like to play. I think Spirit Islands is an amazing game. Although, most achievements are unclear about their requirements, and that's probably why the majority of them stand around 2% to 30% success only.

For instance, i tried "choose your path". I won a game with 4 boards and the 4 basic spirits, with no difficulty reducing, no adversary and no scenario and it didn't trigger. It took me many hours because i'm a unexperienced with the game.

Then i tried each spirit in separate games with a single spirit, but this time i took "no blight card" and "omit initial explore", because i have trouble with some of the spirits. Still didn't get achievement after the 4 victories. I also had a terror victory with this configuration, but i didn't get it either.

I guess i should try again with blight and initial explore, but i'm not even sure, so it can be frustrating to spend time on an objective you don't know the specific requirements.

Can i find that somewhere ? Will it be more clearly indicated ?

Reduced difficulty options disable most achievements. Games with those will not count toward the achievement.

Choose Your Path: "Play without Power Progression using the 4 low-complexity Spirits in the core game."

Your post did not indicate whether or not you had disabled Power Progression. Playing a game (or multiple games) with the 4 low complexity spirits, with Power Progression turned off, is what is required for the Choose Your Path achievement. Winning the game has nothing to do with it. I'm not sure how that can be more clear.

I didn't use power progression. I played 4 games with these spirits, and even won them. Also won with the 4 spirits in one game, with no reducing difficulty, so i don't know why it doesn't trigger, then.

That achievement checks, tracks, and triggers at the start of the game.

So here's what i just did : i started a new game with no adversary, no scenario, no reducing difficulty (including no power progression, of course), 4 boards, the 4 low complexity spirits.

Still no achievement.

PS : tried with an adversary + scenario too : difficulty 1. But nothing triggered.

Can you share a screenshot of your New Game screen setup?

Damn. I didn't see that it was by default and you needed to open info screen for each, sorry. I thought it was disabled by default, actually. And i was confused between that and bonus spirit growth.

So now i could trigger it, thanks. But i don't think this is so obvious for beginner players.

Beginner players are prompted to advance to Intermediate level after they win a game, and doing so turns off Power Progression for all Spirits. It's working how we intend.

I hear you, and you did a great job. Though i'm not convinced beginner players get it like you intended it : i didn't, so that’s already one example that can be taken into account.

But anyway, thanks for your assistance and for the great game.

Eventually you would turn off Power Progression and get it. The achievement exists solely as another prompt to encourage players to do so when they are ready. Have fun!
