I'm among those who hopes that online multiplayer (and both expansions) make it to this at some point, if only because some of my new favorite spirits are among those appearing in Jagged Earth.
We'd love to add online multiplayer, but we don't think it's worth delaying releasing a game for a long time for a feature only used for less than 10% of games (based on real data). It's a good feature, but the game is still great without it!
As I have never played Spirit Island yet, doest the digital game include an interactive tutorial?
I was excited when I saw this, now I and my friends are like what the heck?!?!?!
I am usually quite the wordsmith, but all I can think of to say is DURP.
Meaning people can't play by themself, they have to coordinate with other players.
So, the remote play together does the job. It is not perfect, but ut works well enough for an unreleased game.
Yup, everyone share the mouse, but when your spirit is the one where the choices are made, you take control of the mouse and play.
Last saturday, Handelabra hosted a stream where 2 people played two games of SIusing this feature, it went well.
I'm not quite a wordsmith, but I can think a lot of things to say like "It's far from perfect but it's playable and will do well enough until the game is completed and leave early access." for example.
